Employees say their managers are welcome, inconsiderate and self are more likely to suffer from heart attack, according to a Swedish study that looked at 3,122 men working in health records. Are thinking well of their bosses are less likely to get heart disease, and the higher their opinion, the lower the risk, researchers found.

The study is the first to establish a clear link between management style and employees to heart health, and to show the effects over time. “You must take it seriously that you are stressed because your manager,” said lead author Anna Nyberg, a psychologist at Karolinska Institute. “If you have a good employer, you have at least 20% of a lower risk and stay on if your boss for four years, you have at least a 39% lower risk.”

Researchers used a standardised stress test and examined hospital records. On average, participants in the study of the start is 42 years old, studying at high slightly overweight.
